In the early 2000s, while pursuing her law degree, Ms. Hew gained corporate experience in administrative and operational roles before joining local law firms, where she worked across various practice areas. This blend of corporate and legal exposure gave her with a practical understanding of how legal principles apply in both business and legal contexts, a foundation that continues to shape her practice today.

As the founding partner of the firm, Ms. Hew began her practice as a sole proprietor under the name SP HEW & CO, building it from the ground up from managing files to advising clients and overseeing daily operations. Her dedication and hands-on approach have been the cornerstone of the firm’s steady growth.

With over a decade of experience, Ms. Hew has built extensive experience in conveyancing practice, advising on a wide range of sale and purchase transactions in both the primary and secondary markets, including land matters that require navigating regulatory and procedural requirements.

On the commercial side, she advises financial institutions and clients on property financing and credit facilities, including bridging facilities for construction projects. Having trained with the Islamic Banking and Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM), she is also well-equipped to handle Shariah-compliant financing matters. She combines her legal and commercial insight to assist clients in managing property and financing matters with care and diligence.

Complementing her conveyancing practice, Ms. Hew handles estate planning matters including drafting wills, probate applications and estate administration. Her attentive and compassionate nature has also drawn her to family law, where she assists clients dealing with divorce, matrimonial disputes, and other sensitive family concerns.
